  • Originally from Ireland, I spent the early years of my career as an accountant with Vodafone. In 2018 I made the move to Whistler, Canada where I got my first taste of the small business world.

    I began working with a small local business where I was struck by two things - firstly, Whistler boasted a strong entrepreneurial community stacked with passionate individuals. Secondly, there was a critical gap in financial services tailored for these entrepreneurs.

    Fueled by a desire to bridge this gap, along with fellow RealtyBooks partner Fraser, we started Aspect Accounting. With a strong focus on growth & scalability we have helped entrepreneurs realize the full potential of their businesses through strategic financial management.

    Although I worked with real estate professionals over my time in Canada, it wasn't until I made my first real estate investment I recognized how under-serviced they were when it came to what I do best. RealtyBooks is more than a financial service - we're a partner that understands your entrepreneurial journey.

  • My professional career began working in bars and restaurants. Looking back, these 5 years were pivotal to my development in business. It’s fascinating how adaptive, patient and curious you learn to become when serving food and beverages to all types of people.

    After a couple life altering events, I decided it was time to take the leap into Real Estate in 2014. I had always been very interested in real estate, architecture, and how cities evolve and grow. I was given a fantastic opportunity to team up with one of Greater Vancouver’s best Realtors, and I knew I would do everything I could to take advantage of that opportunity. The first year was an eye opening struggle, but I learned so much about who I am and how persistent I could be. I helped grow the business from $30Million in sales in 2014 to over $600Million in sales in the last 5 years (2018-2023), and am now a Partner in the Garbutt + Dumas Real Estate Team which is consistently in the top 1% of Real Estate Teams in Greater Vancouver.

    Real Estate; selling, investing, renovating and podcasting about my experiences are huge passions of mine.

  • After qualifying as an accountant in the Insurance market in London (UK), I moved to Canada in August 2018 to further my love of the mountains. In Canada, I set up Aspect Accounting with my business partner Eoghan, a new age bookkeeping & accounting for small business owners. The goal being to empower small business owners to make more informed decisions and gain control over their finances. Providing financial support to entrepreneurs by cutting through complexity and offering tangible financial advice to assist with growth. Having worked with many real estate professionals we understand the need for financial support that matches their fast-moving business. I bring over a decade of financial experience into RealityBooks and I am an active member of CPABC.

RealtyBooks prides itself on a quick and hassle-free onboarding process designed to minimize the time and effort required on the realtor's end. Here's a step-by-step guide highlighting the simplicity of the process:

  • Estimated Time: 15 minutes

    A dedicated onboarding specialist promptly schedules a consultation at your convenience, either in person, via phone, or through a video call.

    This is a casual conversation about you & your business: goals, headaches & values. You can ask any questions you may have about RealtyBooks, what we do, how we do it and why we’re the accounting solution for your Vancouver, Whistler, or Sea to Sky real estate business.

  • Our expert team analyzes the information gathered during the initial consultation and creates a customized proposal, including service offerings, pricing details, and a clear scope of work.

    You will receive the proposal electronically for your review.

  • Estimated Time: 15 minutes

    An onboarding call is arranged at your convenience, either in person or over Zoom. The purpose of this call is to gather relevant information to get on top of your finances and better understanding your real estate accounting needs and goals.

  • RealtyBooks swiftly initiates the setup process. This includes configuring accounting software (if required) and creating secure access for our team.

    You are notified once your RealtyBooks account is ready for use.

  • Estimated Time: Minimal

    You can begin using our services immediately and our team will provide support when you need it, answering queries and offering guidance.

    Routine financial transactions are now effortlessly managed by RealtyBooks, allowing you to focus on your core real estate business activities.
